BAD NEWS FOR THE DEVIL
Revelation 20.9-10 and 21.1-6

He was kicked out of the heavens.  He tried to over throw God’s throne,
but God’s angels overthrew him, and Satan made the earth his home.

Through his deception, Satan watched the fall of man.
He thought he had us in the palm of his hand,
but Satan couldn’t see the plans that God had made.
God would send His son to break the chains of the grave
and set us free.

Then Satan and his army—they came against the King.  T
hey crucified the Master and death was sure to have its sting,

and Satan's laughter began to pierce the morning air,
but then came silence when Jesus’ body wasn’t there.
The stone was rolled away just like God had planned.
God had sent his Son to make a way for man
and set us free.

Now Satan and his army are up against the saints.
They are up against the believers, the ones who call themselves saved,

and some have fallen and some have backed away,
but there’s a people who will stand up in his face.
They’ve got their swords high.  They’ve got their shields in place.
They know the victory. They know the way is made
In Jesus’ name.

They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves.  But fire
came down from heaven and devoured them.  And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning
sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown.  They will be tormented day and night for ever and
ever.
Revelation 20.9-10

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no
longer any seas.  I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride
beautifully dressed for her husband.  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with
men, and he will live with them.  They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.  He will
wipe every tear away from their eyes.  There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of
things has passed away.”

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”  Then he said, “Write this down, for these words
are trustworthy and true.

He said to me: “It is done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  To him who is thirsty I will give
drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.”
