Luke 2:8-15
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby,
keeping watch over their flocks at night.  An angel of the
Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone
around them, and they were terrified.  But the angel said
to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great
joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of
David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the
Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby
wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared
with the angel, praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the
shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem
and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has
told us about."

THE BIRTHDAY PARTY
Luke 2:8-15

You could tell He was a proud Father
by the way the angels sang
and you just knew His Son would be wonderful
by the message they proclaimed.

That even though God knew the future
and the path He’d walk all alone,
today there’d be no sorrow.
There’d be a party for His Son.
And He said,

“Come and see my Son!
He’s the wonderful King of kings!
Come and you will know the joy He brings!
And you will know the love I have for you
by the price that He will pay.
Tomorrow brings a shadow, but today we celebrate!”

When the invitations were given,
people came from everywhere
and the little town of Bethlehem
would never be the same.

God threw a party that shook the heavens
with a message that rocked the world
and everyone would know forever
what the prophets had foretold.
And He said,

In the town of Bethlehem, the King of kings is born!
Unto us is born this day the Savior of the world!
